Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club is a Resort, 27 hole golf facility facility located in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The facility has three 9-hole courses, they are The Cypress Course, The Marsh Course, and The Lakes Course. The course is set on Mobile Bay bounded by the Bon Secour WIldlife Preserve, just west of Gulf Shores.
The courses first opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by Earl Stone.
The Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club courses are routed through live oak and cypress tree stands with lakes at every turn, in a very natural setting.
The three nines are Cypress, Marsh, and Lakes, and are all around 3500 yards from the tips. The courses are a very well conditioned parkland style course. The greens tend to be elevated, with medium speed, and slight undulations.

This has been a banner year for golf. 1st I played "Bear's Best" in Atlanta, Then I played what must be the worst conditioned course in America and had a blast doing it. Then yesterday I played what has to be one of the most beautiful courses in America. Even the driving range looked like it was carpeted. The greens were in almost perfect condition. Not a ball make on them and no brown spots. They were running at least a 10 on most of the them. The fairways were very lush. They looked like they were woven like a rug. Putting from 20 feet off the green was fine on most holes. If I had to rate this course against "Bear's Best" I would place this one 1st and the Bear 2nd. The cost was $79.00 included cart and range balls. Best of all juniors played free. The club house was just as impressive, friendly staff, well equipped, and beautifully laid out. When it was your time to tee off, the marshall came and got you and showed you the way to the 1st tee. They treated us like we were pros. Can't wait to play again.
